| Body Wave |
This is a style of hair offered by BRIJON that is comprised of 100% human, Remy natural hair. The hair is very soft with wide, sweeping waves. The wave itself has been applied through a delicate, chemical-free process that is designed to protect the integrity and quality of the hair. The wave is wider than both the Deep Wave and Jackson Wave, which are two other processed waves offered by BRIJON. This wave can be seen at the BRIJON Hair Extension Style Chart. |
| Bonding |
Bond is a type of keratin that is used to “bond” the hair extension with the customer’s own hair. Bonded extensions typically have a keratin polymer bond that is applied at the tip/root of the hair. Through the fusion technique, the keratin bond is melted and attached to the customer’s own hair. BRIJON uses an Italian keratin polymer for all of its bonds as they bond well to the hair and are long lasting. The bonds also include BRIJON’s EX logo so that clients are assured that they are receiving only the highest quality keratin bond available in the market. This bond is pressed flat against the customer’s hair or rolled to ensure the connection between the hair extensions and the customer hair is strong. Also referred to as Hair Bonding, Hair Bonds, Bonding for Human Hair. |
| Bristle Brush |
High quality hair brush used with hair extensions. The brush includes bristles that work well when combing through hair extensions with ease and care. These brushes work especially well when combing hair between the bonds as these areas may be more difficult to access. |
| Bulk Hair |
Loose hair that has been shaved at the root but has not had processing applied at the root (eg, no wefting or bonding). Customers will typically purchase this hair to have it sewn to their own hair, or more commonly will create their own weft or tips at the roots, and apply accordingly. BRIJON offers very high quality 100% human Remy Indian bulk hair. |
| Certification for Hair Extensions |
It is very important that a stylist is properly certified to apply hair extensions. Stylists should go through a formal hands-on training certification course to learn how to apply hair extensions, prepare a customer’s hare, the dos and donts of installation and hair care, etc. Applying hair extensions is a very specialized technique and so it is critical that a stylist is certified and that a customer only goes to a certified hair extensionist. BRIJON offers world class hair extension training that includes understanding the hair, tools, accessories, assessing the customer, preparing and diagramming the customer’s head, hands on training, care and maintenance, communication with the customer, marketing to customers, etc. To see more details on BRIJON’s training courses, please go to Hair Extension Training. |
| Clip Hair |
This is hair that has tracks sewn at the top and clips (above) are sewn onto the wefts. These are for customers that like to put on and take off hair extensions quickly and easily. Typically, customers will remove the hair when they shower or going to bed. These are usually sold in different clip on sets whereby there are various size clip on sets (2 clips, 3 clips, 4 clips). As noted above, many customers will purchase wefts and sew the clips onto the hair itself to use as clip on hair. This hair may also be referred to by a number of names including instant hair extensions, clip human hair extensions, human hair pieces, clip extensions, clip hair extentions, clip on hair, clip human hair, clip on extensions, clip on hair pieces or clip hair pieces. |
| Clips (for clip-ons) |
Clips can be attached (sewn) to the wefts and then attached to the customer’s hair (clips are snapped closed). This is typically used for customers that want to quickly and easily put on and take off their hair extensions on a regular basis. BRIJON offers three different sizes of clips (2.3 cm, 3.2 cm, 3.6 cm) and four different colors (black, brown, beige and blonde). |
| Cold Fusion |
This fusion technique does not use heat, but rather electromagnetic energy to melt the keratin. Cold Fusion irons are often referred to as Ultrasonic Irons and are becoming more and more popular because they do not require time to heat up, are effective in melting the keratin, and for many stylists and customers, they prefer to install extensions without heat. |
| Color Ring |
A Color Ring (aka, Color Wheel, Color Chart) is an accessory that is purchased by salons to showcase all of their colors that they can offer to customers. BRIJON’s Color Ring includes more than 40 colors that can be used by customers to match to their own hair or to provide the perfect highlights or lowlights. The colors include BRIJON’s standard colors, various combination colors and numerous fantasy colors (also known as fancy colors, party colors or funky colors). An image of each of these colors is provided at the following link: Color Chart |
| Conditioner |
Is a hair care product that alters the texture and appearance of human hair. BRIJON offers EX Conditioner which is specially designed for hair extensions and is formulated with silk amino acids to help the customer’s hair retain its natural moisture balance. |
| Copper Rings |
Used as part of the microlinks technique, these rings are used to connect the hair extensions and the customer’s own hair. The hair itself is inserted into the rings, and clamped down to hold the hair extension in place. Copper rings are softer than aluminum rings making them easier to clamp down to close and to open when the customer wants the extensions adjusted or taken out. BRIJON offers two different sizes and four different colors (black, brown, beige and blonde). |
| Cornrow |
Term used to describe an on-the-scalp braid. These braids can be used to form a track for the cornrow weaving method. |

| Curly Hair |
Hair that has a natural curl pattern, which in India, is found with 2-3% of females. BRIJON’s Curly hair is comprised of 100% human, Remy natural hair. The curls are tight with a good volume of bounce. The hair maintains its curl without a significant amount of maintenance. The hair is 100% virgin human hair and has not been processed, colored or texturized. |
| Cuticle Hair |
This represents hair whereby the cuticles have remained intact and have never been removed from the hair. Cuticles protect the hair and so it is important that these stay in-tact. Furthermore, it is important that the cuticles flow in the same direction to prevent tangling and matting. All of BRIJÓN’s hair is 100% cuticle hair whereby the cuticles remain intact and flow in the same direction. This type of hair is also referred to as Remy Hair. The alternative, Non-Remy hair, has had the cuticles removed and so the hair is not protected and will not last nearly as long as Remy hair. |
| Deep Wave |
This is a type of wave offered by BRIJÓN that is very soft with wave-like ripples. All of the hair is comprised of 100% human, Remy natural hair. The wave itself has been applied through a chemical-free process that is designed to protect the integrity and quality of the hair. The wave is much tighter than Jackson Wave and Body Wave. This wave can be seen at Deep Wave Hair Extensions. |
| Density |
This represents the number of hairs per square inch or centimeter. Many individuals purchase hair extensions to provide greater density to their hair, especially in areas where the hair is thinning. |
| Dry Hair |
Hair with little to no moisture remaining in it, resulting in a loss of manageability, a rough feel, or with hair that has lost its elasticity. All of BRIJÓN’s hair extensions use very special solutions to ensure that the hair does not dry out, and it stays full of life. Furthermore, it is important that customers use BRIJÓN’s wet line products designed for hair extensions as these ensure that there is proper moisture and the hair maintains its vibrant look and feel. |
| Fantasy Colors |
These represent very bright colors that are oftentimes used as highlights for customers. These are especially popular for special occasions such as Halloween, Christmas, etc. and are becoming more and more part of the mainstream style with all ages of clientele. They may also be referred to as fancy colors, party colors or funky colors. |
| Finger Protectors |
Rubberized protectors that are typically worn on the index finger and thumb to protect the stylist’s fingers when applying fusion bonded hair extensions. These are typically worn as part of the fusion application where heat is being applied to melt the keratin and then pressed or rolled to connect the hair extension to the customer’s hair. Although these are not required, they do protect the customer’s fingers from being burned. |
| Fringe |
This represents the hair that falls over the forehead, and may also be referred to as “bangs”. |
| Fusion Iron/Connector |
A Fusion Iron/Connector is designed to melt keratin when applying Keratin Tips (keratin bonded hair extensions). They can also be used to melt the keratin when applying extensions with replacement tips, keratin pearls and grains. BRIJÓN offers fusion connectors that have a temperature range between 100º C and 220º C and the heating plates are made of lightweight Teflon. It is important to apply the heat so that the keratin bubbles, but to not to overapply the heat as this may damage the keratin. |
| Fusion Technique |
This is the technique used to connect keratin tipped hair extensions to the customer’s own hair. Typically, the keratin is melted using a fusion iron or fusion connector, and then connected to the customer’s own hair. The bond can then be pressed flat to connect to the customer’s hair or can be rolled into a cylinder. This is the most popular technique for applying hair extensions. |
| Fusion Tubes |
These plastic tubes (aka, shrink tubes, extension tubes) are used as an alternative to rings when applying i-Tip extensions, and are lighter weight than the rings. i-Tips are inserted into the tube, and melted so the hair extension is closed tight around the tube which includes the hair extension and the customer’s own hair. These are closed using the Fusion Connectors. These tubes are plastic with a thin layer of keratin inside. BRIJÓN offers the fusion tubes in clear or black. |
| Hair Care |
Properly caring for hair extensions is critical to ensure their longevity. There are very specific procedures and do’s and dont’s associated with caring for and maintaining hair extensions. These procedures should be discussed between the customer and the stylist so that the customer fully understands the requirements to properly maintain the hair extensions. BRIJÓN has developed a formal Hair Care & Maintenance Guide that includes most of the critical care procedures and it is very important to understand and follow these basic care procedures: Hair Care & Maintenance. |
| Hair Extension Toolkit |
Stainless steel toolkit that contains hair extension tools required for applying i-Tips and Machine Wefts. BRIJÓN’s toolkit (which comes in a small leather case) includes pliers that are used to clamp down on the rings around the connection point, a pulling needle to thread the customer’s hair and hair extension within the ring and (optional) a ring remover to help remove rings or tubes when the extensions are adjusted or removed. |
| Hair Extensions |
Hair extensions (oft-spelled Hair Extentions) are very popular way of providing great lengths, volume, style and color to hair. They are very popular with the Hollywood elite (Beyonce, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton), but enjoy widespread popularity for everyone regardless of age. Hair is one of the most fashionable aspects of one’s appearance and hair extensions provide that instant glamorous look. |
| Hair Salon |
A hair salon (group of hairdressers) is a place where a customer goes to get a haircut or to have hair extensions applied, as well as have their hair styled, highlighted or colored. There are the traditional walk-in salons where you do not have to make an appointment and full-service hair salons where you need to make an appointment with the stylist of your choice. Many full-service hair salons specialize in certain areas such as hair extensions. It is very important to have hair extensions applied with a stylist that specializes in, and is certified in, applying hair extensions. This will help to ensure that the extensions are properly applied and the stylist is able to communicate all of the key dos and donts associated with caring for the extensions. Many higher-end salons offer hair extension services including application, maintenance, and styling for the hair extensions. It is important that you stay in close communication with your stylist to ensure that there are no issues, and that adjustments are made as necessary. |
| Hair Separator Disk |
These PVC disks are used to isolate a specific amount of a customer’s hair as part of the installation process (strand-by-strand). Hair separators also protect the customer’s hair and scalp from the heat from the fusion iron. We suggest using a hair separator disk for the Keratin Tips and i-Tips. |
| Highlights |
Refers to changing a person’s hair color by using lighter colors to brighten their hair. Many customers purchase Keratin Tips or i-Tip hair extensions to provide highlights in their hair. These strands can be applied in various parts of the hair to showcase the different color(s). |
| Hot Pot |
Used to melt keratin grains (glue grains), keratin pearls or keratin sticks to then be applied to loose, bulk hair when creating Keratin Tips or i-Tips. It can also be used to reinforce existing bonds after they have been used or adjusted on the head. It is important to use a high grade keratin such as those offered by BRIJÓN to ensure that the hair extension is bonded properly, is durable and does not cause damage to the hair. |
| i-Tips |

BRIJÓN offers this hair in packs of 50 strands, and uses the highest quality 100% human Indian Remy hair. |
| Jackson Wave |
This is a style of hair offered by BRIJÓN that is very soft and has medium wave patterns. The hair is comprised of 100% human, Remy Indian hair. The wave itself has been applied through a special, chemical-free process that protects the integrity and quality of the hair. The wave itself is in between a Deep Wave and Body Wave and is our most popular wave pattern. This wave can be seen at Jackson Wave Hair Extensions. |
| Keratin Bond Remover |
BRIJÓN offers the EX Keratin Bond remover which is a specially formulated solution to remove Keratin Tips or other keratin bonded hair extensions. EX Keratin Bond Remover is a non-acetone remover. The stylist will apply 1-2 drops of gel on the bonded area and massage in with their fingers. Using hair extension pliers, squeeze and break the bond and slide extension away from the head. |
| Keratin Grains |
Keratin Grains are melted to create keratin or i-tipped extensions and/or to re-enforce existing keratin bonds. BRIJÓN uses specially sourced keratin from Italy and are used on BRIJÓN’s Keratin Tips and i-Tips. The keratin can be melted on one of the Fusion Connectors or in a Hot Pot. This keratin has a melting point of 200-210 degrees Celsius. |

This is a tool where keratin sticks are inserted into the gun whereby the keratin is melted and then applied to the hair extension. This can be used to create keratin tip bonds or to reinforce existing or used bonds. |
| Keratin Pearls |
Keratin Pearls can be melted and used to create keratin or i-tipped extensions and/or to re-enforce existing keratin bonds. The keratin can be melted on one of the Fusion Connectors or in a Hot Pot. This keratin has a melting point of 150-170 degrees Celsius. |
| Keratin Replacement Tips |
Replacement Tips are designed to replace existing tips on Keratin Tip extensions, or to create tips from bulk or wefted hair. The stylist will simply melt the Keratin Replacement Tip into the hair and then apply to the customer’s own hair as is done with the fusion technique for Keratin Tips. BRIJÓN offers these tips in Blonde, Brown, Black and Red. Each replacement tip includes the EX logo so the customer is assured they are receiving BRIJÓN’s high quality keratin. |
| Keratin Sticks (aka, Glue Sticks) |
Keratin that is shaped in the form of a cylinder that can be melted within a Keratin Gun or Hot Pot. Once the keratin has been melted, it can be applied to bulk/loose hair to create Keratin Tips or i-Tips, or can be applied to reinforce existing keratin bonds or bonds that have been adjusted and need additional keratin. |
| Keratin Tips |
Hair that has keratin applied at the roots in a flat shape, and is applied/connected via the fusion technique (heat fusion or ultrasonic/cold fusion). All of BRIJÓN’s keratin is from Italy and holds very well and comes off clean when adjusting or removing the hair extensions. This hair is sold in packs of 50 strands. |
| Layer |
A styling method used to reduce weight and add movement. This is usually achieved as part of applying hair extensions as layers and can be applied at different points throughout the head. |
| Length |
The point at which the longest layers fall contributing to the overall design. BRIJÓN offers a variety of lengths ranging from 10 inches (or 25 centimeters) up to 36 inches (or 90 centimeters). |
| Lift |
Refers to hair styled to “stand away” from the scalp, contributing to volume. |
| Lowlights |
These are the opposite of highlights in that they darken your hair. These are used to provide depth to the hair, and as an alternative to graying hair. For example, if a customer has natural blonde hair, they would want a lowlight shade with gold in it to complement the light blonde. No matter what your natural shade of color is, you should never go more than three shades darker than your natural color or your hair will end up looking harsh and unnatural. |
| Machine Weft |
Hair that is processed on a track at the roots. This can be attached through sewing, micro-links technique, or by applying clips. BRIJÓN recommends the micro-links technique as an effective installation technique that is safe for the customer’s own hair. BRIJÓN triple stitches its wefts so that the hair is stronger and prevents shedding. The width of the weft depends on the length of the hair, as the weight is always 100 grams. So, the shorter the weft, the wider it is and the longer the length of the weft, the shorter the width. On average, the wefts have a width of 4.5 – 5 feet (or 1.5 meters). |
| Microlink Technique |
This application technique is used to connect hair extensions to the customer’s own hair through attaching and clamping down on rings. Using a Pulling Needle, the hair extension and the customer’s own hair is threaded through a ring and then locked secure using pliers. This technique is used with BRIJÓN’s i-Tips and Machine Wefts. BRIJÓN offers a Toolkit which includes some of the key tools required to do the application. |
| Microrings |
These rings are used as part of the microlinks application. Hair extensions and the customer’s hair are inserted into the rings, and clamped down to hold the hair extension in place. These rings are smaller than the other rings (Copper Rings and Silicon Rings) which customers may prefer. BRIJÓN offers three different sizes and four different colors (black, brown, beige and blonde) for its microrings. |
| Natural Hair |
Term used to describe hair that is natural and comes from a living being, as opposed to synthetic hair that has been manufactured. Many vendors claim their hair is natural which could denote that the hair comes from animals as well. BRIJÓN uses only 100% human hair for all of its hair extensions and does not use any synthetics or animal hair which is of a much lower quality. |
| Perm |
A permanent wave, commonly called a perm, is the chemical and/or thermal treatment of hair to produce waves, curls or straight hair. In cosmetology, it is termed a type of curl reformation of the hair. BRIJÓN provides four “permed” styles (Body Wave, Deep Wave, Jackson Wave and Yaki) that have been processed through a very delicate thermal treatment that does not damage the quality or integrity of the hair. The hair will maintain its wave, while not using damaging chemicals to produce the waves. |
| Pliers |
Special hair extension pliers are designed to perform various functions in the application of hair extensions. For micro-link extensions (i-Tips, Wefts), the rings are closed shut using the pliers. For fusion extensions (Keratin Tips), pliers can be used before or after applying EX Keratin Bond Remover when breaking the keratin as part of removing the hair extensions. |
| Polishing Milk |
This cream is designed to add shine and smoothness, and control frizz. BRIJÓN’s EX Polishing Milk is specially formulated to repair and replenish your hair and eliminate frizz and flyaway. Enriched with silk protein, aloe vera and panthenol-vitamin B5, it repairs split ends and provides a vibrant shine, control and smoothness. |
| Pulling Needle |
A stainless steel needle used as part of the microlinks application. The rings are placed on the needle and threaded in order to capture the hair extension and the customer’s hair within the ring. The ring is then clamped shut using pliers to secure the hair extension on the head. BRIJÓN offers a pulling needle as part of its microlinks Toolkits that also include pliers, and a ring remover (which is optional). |
| Razor |
A razor can be used to shape and style hair extensions after installation. BRIJÓN recommends using the EX Hot Razor that allows the stylist to easily cut and style the hair extensions with minimal effort. This razor helps to create the perfect styles so the hair extensions will blend perfectly with the customer’s own natural hair. |
| Reconstruct (aka, Repair) |
Process of replacing the strengthening and elastic components of hair depleted through chemical processes, abusive styling, or environmental damage. BRIJÓN offers the EX Reconstructor spray which is designed to address these types of issues. |
| Remy Hair (Remi Hair) |
Remy human hair signifies that all cuticles remain intact and run in the same direction from root to end. The cuticles protect the hair from damage and prevent it from tangling and matting. Remy hair behaves exactly like your own hair and can be washed, blow-dried, curled, flat ironed, colored and permed while maintaining its original beauty and vitality. BRIJÓN uses only 100% Remy hair in all of its hair extensions assuring the customer of the highest quality, longest lasting hair extensions. Also referred to as Remy Human Hair, Remi Human Hair, Bohyme Hair, Bohyme Human Hair, Bohyme Remy Hair or Bohyme Remi Hair. |

| Scissors |
Are a cutting instrument having two blades whose cutting edges slide past each other. After hair extensions are installed, it is very important to cut and style the hair extensions. We recommend using BRIJÓN’s Hot Razor as it is ideal for styling, while scissors can also be used in certain areas to complement the Hot Razor. |
| Shampoo |
Is a hair care product used for the removal of oils, dirt, skin particles, dandruff, environmental pollutants and other particles that gradually build up in hair. The goal is to remove the unwanted build-up without stripping out too much that would make the hair unmanageable. BRIJÓN offers a very high quality shampoo called EX Shampoo (with Aloe Vera and silk proteins) that is specially formulated to strengthen and repair cuticles, remove tangles, and leave your hair soft, healthy and manageable. This shampoo works perfect with hair extensions, but can also be used with colored hair, damaged hair and all other types of hair. |
| Shedding |
Is the consequence whereby hair falls out of the hair extension (after combing, showering, etc). This is one of the biggest concerns of hair extension customers. BRIJÓN uses a triple stitched weft and very strong keratin to help prevent shedding. Shedding, however, is natural and there will always be some shedding with all types of hair. In fact, people shed approximately 100 pieces of their own hair per day. |
| Silicon Rings |
These rings are used as part of the microlinks application. Hair extensions and the customer’s own hair are inserted into the rings, and clamped down to hold the hair extension in place. The inside of the ring contains silicon which promotes growth and protects the customer’s hair. BRIJÓN offers two different sizes and four different colors for its silicon rings (black, brown, beige and blonde). |
| Skin Weft |
This type of weft is growing in popularity because there is no thick track of hair at the top and the hair can lay flat against the customer’s head. The top of the weft contains a translucent polyurethane coated tape (usually double sided) that is used to attach the weft to the customer’s own hair. It is also much easier and quicker to apply than other types of hair extensions. Also, the hair appears to be growing from the scalp so it looks more natural than other types of hair extensions. |
| Smoothing |
For reducing frizz or unruly hair for a sleek finish. This can be achieved through using BRIJÓN’s EX Polishing Milk (as described within this glossary). |
| Straight Hair |
Hair that is naturally straight. With BRIJÓN’s hair, which all comes from India, this hair is soft, smooth and has a very slight wave pattern. All India hair will have a slight wave. Straight hair can be easily curled as well as flat ironed for an ultra sleek look. BRIJÓN’s hair is comprised of 100% human, Remy natural hair, and its virgin hair has not been processed, colored or texturized. |
| Straightening |
Refers to a styling method of straightening the hair by removing curls or waves. BRIJÓN’s EX Styler, which uses digitally advanced technology, allows the stylist and/or customer to easily straighten their hair extensions. The EX Styler heats quickly and maintains the temperature ensuring optimum heat, while the ceramic plates help seal in natural oils, moisture and hair color. For naturally curly hair, the straightening process lasts for several days. If you get caught in the rain, however, sometime the hair will revert back to its original state and need to be straightened again. |
| Strand |
Term used in the hair extension industry to refer to one Keratin Tip or i-Tip extension. Within each hair extension strand, there are numerous individual hairs (approximately 50). To complete a customer’s hair, it usually requires between 100 and 150 strands. For highlights, customers will typically purchase 10 or more to provide color in various parts of their head. |
| Synthetic Hair |
Synthetic hair is unnatural hair that is manufactured using nylon, polyester or other industrial materials. Although synthetic hair is much cheaper than human hair, it does not last nearly as long, it breaks down very easily and cannot be treated like your own hair (eg, the hair may melt if close to a hair dryer). BRIJÓN does not use any synthetics in its hair, and guarantees that all of its hair is 100% human Remy hair. |
| Tangling |
This occurs when hair is mixed together or intertwined making it difficult to comb and style the hair. Because BRIJÓN only uses 100% human Remy hair where the cuticles are aligned in the same direction, the hair will not tangle. Other companies will strip the cuticles or have the cuticles going in opposite directions causing friction in the hair and causing the hair to tangle and mat. |
| Texture |
Hair is typically classified as either fine, medium or coarse, while there are various different styles based on how straight or curly the hair is, or the style of the waves.. BRIJÓN offers seven different styles for its hair extensions. The hair is very soft because this is how Indian hair is, but may vary based on the type of hair extension. For example, Yaki hair is given a more coarse texture. |
| Texture Ring |
BRIJÓN offers seven different styles and textures to the hair: Straight, Wavy, Curly, Jackson Wave, Deep Wave, Body Wave. These styles are displayed on a Texture Ring that enable customers to select the style that best suits their needs. Please refer to [Texture Ring] (http://www.bybrijon.com/index.php?option=com_content&Itemid=39&catid=8&id=26&lang=en&view=article) for details on the different textures and styles. |
| Track |
Hair extensions are held together by a “track” or “weft” that has been stitched to the hair. This type of hair is used when doing the microlink technique (or for customers that do the sewing/weaving technique). The hair can also be temporarily clipped into the hair when special clips are sewn to the weft. |
| Ultrasonic Iron |
This is a type of iron that is used as part of connecting hair extensions as part of the cold fusion technique. This technique does not use heat, but rather electromagnetic energy to melt the keratin. These irons are becoming more and more popular as they do not require time to heat up, are effective in melting the keratin, and for many stylists and customers, they feel more comfortable when there is no heat. |
| Virgin Hair |
Virgin hair is hair that has not been chemically treated and remains in its original virgin state. This means that the hair has not been dyed, bleached, permed, straightened, etc. In India, women do not color, perm or otherwise treat their hair and so the hair remain in a virgin state. BRIJÓN sources its hair directly from the finest temples and salons in India, and its hair extensions retain their outstanding and natural quality because they have not been exposed to harsh chemical treatments. This hair has been naturally groomed in natural herbal oils which protect the hair as well. |
| Volume |
Indicates level of fullness within a finished look. Volume can be attained in various locations on the head (eg, the crown, fringe, all over, etc). Many customers use hair extensions to increase the volume of hair as they may be experiencing some thinning, and hair extensions allow there to be a much fuller look. |
| Wavy Hair |
Hair that is naturally wavy with a much greater wave pattern than Straight hair. BRIJÓN offers naturally wavy hair that is comprised of 100% human, Remy natural hair. This hair is naturally full of body, and is very versatile. Wavy hair can be flat ironed and can be worn straight or curled with a curling iron. The hair is 100% virgin human hair and has not been processed, colored or texturized. |
| Weave |
The process of forming a base (or track) along the scalp to attach wefted hair. The hair can be attached to the hair through sewing the weft directly to the customer’s head using thread and a needle. Weaving is very popular with African American hair. This is also known as hair weaving, hair weaves, black hair weave or hair wefts. |
| Weft |
Hair sewn on a fine base and used in the process of hair weaving (sewn on a track at the root of the hair). BRIJÓN offers Machine Wefts, Handtied Wefts and Skin Wefts. Machine Wefts are its most popular weft hair extension. All of the wefts use 100% human natural hair and are triple stitched to maintain volume and to prevent shedding. The wefts themselves measure approximately 4.5 to 5 feet (1.5 meters) in width, although this width varies based on the length of the hair. The longer the hair, the shorter the weft, and vice versa. |

BRIJÓN offers Yaki hair which is comprised of 100% human, Remy natural hair. The hair has been texturized through a careful, chemical-free process that protects the integrity and quality of the hair. Also referred to as Yaky hair. |
